COWASH IV provided a four-day Training of Trainers Workshop in Tarcha town in South West Ethiopia People’s Region.

The Community-led Accelerated WASH Project, Phase IV (COWASH IV) provided a four-day training of  trainers (TOT) workshop in Tarcha town in South West Ethiopia People’s Regional State from October 2 to 5, 2023. COWASH IV in Tigray: Bringing Water, Sanitation, Hygiene and Hope to a Region Recovering from Conflict

The Government of Ethiopia and Finland bilateral project, Community-Led Accelerated Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Phase IV (COWASHIV) is one of the first projects actively engaging in Tigray post the conflict. The project was initially expected to be implemented two years ago but was suspended following the outbreak of hostilities in the Region. The project officially resumed working last June, and is now making significant progress in helping the people of Tigray rebuild their lives.Read more


Advancing WASH Implementation and Data Systems: COWASH IV Empowers Stakeholders in South West Ethiopia through Specialized Training

The Community-led Accelerated WASH Project, Phase IV (COWASH IV) Federal Technical Assistance Team has started a series of two training sessions in Tarcha City,  in the South West Ethiopia People's Regional State, in cooperation with the COWASH IV Regional Support Unit.

The first session will be training of trainers on the Community Managed Project (CMP) approach and the second session will be on the management of the COWASH IV database management.

The main objectives of the training are to increase the implementation capacity of WASHCOs on the CMP approach and to train stakeholders in the use of the COWASH IV database management system.

The participants are technical experts from regional, zonal and woreda levels and training will continue for five consecutive days from 13-17 March 2023.


COWASH IV FTAT Conducts Training in South-west Ethiopia to Enhance Implementation Capacity on CMP Approach and Financial Management

The COWASH IV Federal Technical Assistance Team (FTAT) is currently in Mizan-Aman city working in cooperation with the new COWASH IV South-west Ethiopia Peoples Regional State, Regional Support Unit to provide a series of core training sessions.

The main objective of the training is to enhance the implementation capacity of regional COWASH IV stakeholders on the Community Managed Project (CMP) approach, CMP appraisal, Social Environmental Climate Risk Screening and Management COWASH IV reporting and COWASH IV financial management.

The training participants are Regional, Zonal, and Woreda COWASH sector officials and focal persons. The training will continue for six days from 30 January 2023 to 04 February 2023.
